CFSA Welcomes Volunteers In Service To America

Volunteers In Service to America (VISTA) began their first day of service on July 20th with an onsite orientation and training held at The Community Foundation of South Alabama. The VISTA members will be serving the South Alabama region during the next 12 months and providing assistance with the construction of a free community network.

The South Alabama Community Network will bring together people with a common interest in building a stronger community. The goal is to provide information that is needed to understand issues, identify solutions and to solve community problems.

The VISTA members are located in Clarke, Escambia, Mobile and Monroe counties with partner organizations which include: South Alabama Regional Planning Commission Area Agency on Aging, Escambia County Commission On Aging, Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Monroe County, and the Community Action Agency of Baldwin, Escambia, Clarke, Monroe and Conecuh.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to these volunteers.
